Browser-based group tools
Useful tools should get out of your way
This site is a small collection of browser-based tools for the moments when a group needs a fair choice, a clear score, an even headcount, or a visible timer.
Built for the moment, not for an account
A dice roll during a board game or a quick team split should not require a sign-up flow. Every FunBox tool opens directly in the browser and keeps the main action easy to find on phones, tablets, laptops, and shared screens.
The site groups related tools in one place so a host can choose, score, count, and time an activity without switching between unrelated services.
How random results are produced
Random tools use the browser Web Crypto API when it is available and use rejection sampling to avoid modulo bias. Each listed option receives the same mathematical chance unless a tool explicitly says otherwise.
The team generator randomizes the order and distributes people by headcount. It does not know anyone’s skill level, so “even” means similar team sizes, not competitively balanced teams.
Privacy by keeping work in your browser
Names, wheel options, scores, and other tool inputs are processed in your browser. FunBox does not require an account and does not intentionally send those entries to a FunBox application server.
Some preferences and recent tool state can remain in local browser storage so they are available on your next visit. Optional analytics are loaded only after you choose to allow them.
What these tools are—and are not—for
FunBox is designed for casual games, classrooms, workshops, family activities, team sessions, and everyday choices. Random results are not suitable for real-money gambling, safety-critical decisions, or legal, medical, and financial decisions.
A maintained, independent project
FunBox is maintained as an independent web project. Bug reports, accessibility feedback, and clear feature requests are welcome at support@funbox.space.
