One phone, one secret
Find the impostor in a same-room word game
Gather 3–12 people and pass one phone around the group. Most players receive the same secret word. One randomly assigned impostor sees only their role and has to blend in without knowing the word.
Take turns giving a clue, discuss who sounded uncertain, and choose one suspect together. This is a short social deduction game for people in the same room; everyone can play without a separate host.
Pass the phone without giving away a role
Set up the players and start the game. Each person privately reveals their own card, hides it, and passes the phone to the next player. Keep the screen out of the group’s view until everyone has seen their role.

Give clues and discuss
Once all players have checked their cards, start the discussion timer. Go around the group and give a short clue without saying the secret word. Players who know it should avoid making it too obvious; the impostor listens and tries to contribute a believable clue.
Choose a suspect and reveal the round
Agree on one suspect aloud, select that player on the shared phone, then reveal the result. Finding the impostor gives the word players the win; choosing someone else gives the impostor the win. Start another game when the group is ready. Player entries, roles and the current round clear on refresh.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as an imposter word game?
Yes. Impostor and imposter are common spellings for this style of game. In this version, one player gets no secret word, and everyone else gets the same word.
How many people can play?
The game supports 3–12 people with exactly one impostor per round. All players use one shared device in the same room.
Can friends join remotely with a room code?
No. There are no online rooms or synchronized player screens. Pass the phone for private cards, then give clues and agree on a suspect in person.
Does the game have several elimination rounds?
No. Each game ends after one group accusation and the reveal. Play another round for a new secret and a new randomly assigned impostor.
