Start with something small
An icebreaker question generator that leaves room to talk
Use this icebreaker question generator when people have just arrived, a table needs an opener or a group wants a change of pace. One shared screen supplies a question; everyone decides whether to answer.
There are 45 original questions: 15 light openers, 15 invitations to share small stories and 15 imaginative what-ifs. Choose one theme or shuffle the mixed deck.
Choose a question that fits the moment
Light & Easy starts with preferences and everyday pleasures. Small Stories invites brief experiences without asking for secrets. Imagine offers playful possibilities. Start with a short answer yourself, then invite the group rather than putting one person on the spot.
Browse at the group’s pace
Draw the first question, then use Next when the conversation is ready. Each forward step reveals a different card in the current deck. Previous lets you revisit a question; moving forward again returns to the same order. The progress indicator shows your position, and the last card offers a clear stopping point.
Copy a prompt or begin a new deck
Copy question places only the current question on your clipboard so you can share it yourself. If copying is unavailable, the page displays a message and you can select the text manually. A new shuffle begins a new order and may include previously seen questions. Answers are spoken aloud, not collected by the tool.
Frequently asked questions
How many people can use these icebreakers?
There is no player counter or imposed group size. Two people can take turns, or a host can invite answers from a larger gathering using one screen.
Will I get repeated questions?
Not while advancing through the current shuffled deck. Previous deliberately revisits earlier cards. Shuffling a new deck makes all of that category’s questions available again.
Does copying send a question to anyone?
No. Copy only writes the question to your device’s clipboard. You decide where to paste or send it. There are no online rooms, answer forms or saved sessions.
