Website privacy policy

What stays in your browser and what may leave it

This policy explains the small amount of information used to operate the site, remember preferences, measure usage with permission, and support advertising if it is enabled.

Last updated: 2026-07-12

Scope and contact

This policy applies to funbox.space and its localized pages. The tools remain technically accessible worldwide. Google Analytics and Google AdSense are available only when the request country is reliably identified as the United States or Canada; for every other country, an unknown country, or a failed lookup, those optional Google services do not load. The role-based privacy contact is Privacy Officer: privacy@funbox.space.

Information you enter into tools

Names, list items, wheel options, scores, counter values, and similar inputs are processed by code in your browser. FunBox does not require an account and does not intentionally transmit these entries to a FunBox application database.

Do not enter sensitive personal information. A shared screen can expose the text you enter to people nearby.

Browser storage for requested features

This first-party storage supports preferences, saved content, and recovery of the task you requested. It is not used for cross-site advertising. You can clear individual tool data in the interface or remove all site data in your browser.

  • A language preference cookie remembers the language you selected for up to 12 months.
  • Local storage remembers settings and favorites you choose, saved wheel templates, the current wheel list, and your analytics choice on this device.
  • Session storage keeps recent dice history and scoreboard state through a refresh, then removes it when the browser session ends.

Optional analytics

Where it is configured, Google Analytics can load only for requests reliably identified as coming from the United States or Canada and only after you allow analytics. It may then be used to understand aggregate visits, device categories, pages used, and technical performance. FunBox does not intentionally send tool input values to Google Analytics.

For every other or unknown country, the Google Analytics script does not load and no measurement request is sent. Cloudflare Web Analytics is not currently enabled. Cloudflare still processes request data needed for hosting, security, and abuse prevention and may retain limited technical security logs under its own policy.

Advertising and Google services

If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense can load only for requests reliably identified as coming from the United States or Canada. For every other or unknown country, the AdSense script does not load and no ad request is sent, while all browser tools continue to work.

For eligible traffic, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar storage to serve and measure ads. Google and its partners may personalize ads where the visitor’s choice and applicable law permit. Non-personalized ads can still use storage for fraud prevention, frequency capping, and measurement.

FunBox does not directly sell personal information for money. If advertising is enabled, sharing identifiers or browsing activity with Google and its advertising partners for personalized or cross-context behavioral advertising may be treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some US state laws. A Google US state regulations message is published for eligible visitors to opt out and to process browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control where supported and legally required.

Purposes and legal bases

First-party browser storage is used to provide features you request and remember choices you make. Optional analytics and advertising are geographically limited to eligible United States and Canada traffic and rely on consent or another applicable choice where required. Security logging and abuse prevention may rely on legitimate interests or legal obligations, depending on your location.

Sharing, transfers, and retention

FunBox does not sell the text you enter into tools. Cloudflare processes request data for hosting, security, and email routing. Cloudflare Web Analytics is not currently enabled. Google receives messages forwarded to Gmail and may process analytics or advertising data only for eligible United States or Canada traffic when those optional services are configured and the required choice has been collected.

The language cookie lasts up to 12 months. Local preferences, recent tool state, and the analytics-consent record remain until you change the setting, a tool removes them, or you clear site data. Support and privacy email is kept only while needed to answer the request, address security or legal issues, or preserve records required by law. Provider security, analytics, and advertising records follow the configured account controls and the provider’s documented retention rules.

Providers may process information outside your country. Where European transfer rules apply, processing must rely on an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful safeguard. Contact the privacy address for information relevant to a specific request.

Your choices and rights

  • For eligible United States or Canada traffic, when optional analytics is enabled, use “Privacy settings” in the footer to change that choice.
  • Clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings.
  • When advertising is enabled for eligible traffic, use the published Google US state regulations message to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising where US state law provides that right.
  • Use Google’s advertising controls where Google ads are shown. A supported Global Privacy Control signal will also be handled where legally required.
  • Contact the Privacy Officer at privacy@funbox.space to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability rights that apply in your region.
  • Where EEA or UK data-protection law applies to particular processing, you may complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work, or to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office as applicable. Contacting the site first is welcome but not required.

Children and changes to this policy

FunBox is a general-audience utility intended for adult organizers, parents, and educators when it is used in family or classroom activities; it is not designed as a child-directed service. Children should not independently send personal information to the site or its support inbox. Adults should use initials or nicknames instead of a child’s full name in shared tools. If the site learns that a child under 13, or under another applicable child-privacy age, sent personal information without parental consent, it will use that information only for a single response when necessary, delete it promptly from the active support mailbox after that response (or without responding when no response is needed), and not contact the child again, disclose the information, or reuse it unless the law requires otherwise.

This policy may change when features or providers change. The date at the top will be updated when material revisions are published.
