Online dice roller for one to six six-sided dice
This online dice roller replaces ordinary D6 dice when none are nearby. Choose between one and six dice, press Roll, and read every face together with the automatic total.
It deliberately focuses on six-sided dice. It does not simulate D4, D8, D10, D12, D20, or D100 dice, so the page stays quick for board games and activities that use standard cubes.
How to use the virtual dice roller
Set the number of dice with the plus and minus controls, then press Roll. The 3D animation ends on the generated values, and the result card shows individual faces and their sum. Recent rolls remain in the history on this browser so you can check what happened.
How the D6 results are generated
Each die uses a browser cryptographic random value with rejection sampling, which avoids the small bias created by a simple remainder calculation. Every face from 1 to 6 has the same intended probability on each roll.
- One D6 has six possible results.
- Two D6 produce totals from 2 to 12; totals near 7 have more combinations.
- A previous roll does not change the probability of the next roll.
Good uses and clear limits
Use the roller for board games, classroom probability examples, turn order, or D6 checks in a role-playing game. It is not a certified random-number service and should not be used for regulated drawings, money wagers, or high-stakes decisions.
What is saved
The selected dice count and recent roll history stay in this browser session and survive a refresh. They are not shared between devices and are removed when the tab or browser session ends.
Frequently asked questions
Can I roll a D20 here?
No. This page is intentionally limited to one through six ordinary six-sided dice.
Why is 7 common with two dice?
Six different pairs total 7, while only one pair totals 2 and one pair totals 12.
Does clearing history change future rolls?
No. History is only a local record; it does not influence the next result.
