List picker guide
Random picker for one item from a list
Random Picker is the direct way to choose one name, task, or option. Add at least two entries and press Pick; the page selects one list position with equal probability.
Unlike the wheel, this tool keeps the presentation short. It is useful when the group needs an answer rather than a long reveal.
How to use the random list picker
Add each entry, review the list, and remove any mistake before pressing Pick. The highlighted result remains visible while the original list stays available for another draw.
What “equal chance” means
Probability is attached to list positions. Every position receives one equal chance, so entering the same name twice gives that text two positions. The selection uses browser cryptographic random values and does not inspect the meaning of an entry.
Picker, wheel, or team generator?
Use Picker for one quick result. Use Spin Wheel when the visible spinning process is part of the activity. Use Team Generator when every person must be assigned to a group rather than selecting one winner.
List privacy and limits
The current picker list is held in page memory and clears when the page refreshes. Do not enter sensitive information or use this lightweight tool for regulated drawings or consequential decisions.
Frequently asked questions
Can the same result be picked again?
Yes. The tool does not remove a result from the list automatically.
Are duplicate entries allowed?
Yes, but each duplicate is another list position and increases that text’s combined chance.
Is my list saved?
No. The current list clears when you refresh or close the page.
