One actor. No talking. How many can your team guess?
Set up your round
Each category has 20 prompts. The mixed deck has 60. No repeats within a deck; returning to settings starts a fresh deck.
How to play
- 1Give the screen to the actor. Keep it hidden from the guessers.
- 2Act out the word without speaking or making sounds. Your team guesses aloud.
- 3Tap Correct for one point, or Skip to move on. Pass the device after the round.
Act, guess, repeat
A charades word generator for your next game night
Gather at least two people and give the phone to the actor. This charades generator supplies the words and runs the round, so nobody needs to prepare slips of paper or leave the game to host.
Choose animals, actions, everyday objects or a mixed deck. Start with a 60-second round, then act out each prompt without speaking or making sounds while everyone else guesses.
Start a round in three steps
Choose a category and a round length: 30, 60, 90 or 120 seconds. Keep the screen facing the actor so the guessers cannot read the answer. Start the round and use gestures to help the group guess.
- Tap Correct when someone guesses correctly to add one point.
- Skip a word if it does not suit your group; there is no point penalty.
- Pause when you need a break. The word stays hidden until you resume.
Choose words your group can act out
Animals make an easy warmup. Actions invite bigger performances, while everyday objects ask players to mime how something is used. Each category has 20 prompts; the mixed deck combines all 60. For younger or new players, try a longer round. Use gestures rather than speech or sound effects.
Finish the round and keep playing
The results let you review the words and your round score. Take turns as the actor, or use Team Generator before playing in teams. For a longer match, keep the running total in Scoreboard. This charades round stays in the current page; refreshing clears it.
Frequently asked questions
How many people do I need for charades?
Two people can play with one actor and one guesser. For team play, use at least four people so each team has an actor and a guesser.
Can I change the timer?
Yes. Before starting, choose 30, 60, 90 or 120 seconds. You can pause a running round when the group needs a break.
Does the game need a camera or motion controls?
No. The group watches the actor in person, and you use the on-screen controls to record correct answers and skips.
Are my rounds saved?
The current round is held in this page. Refreshing or closing the page clears it. There is no account or shared online room.
